The Millenium Force | |
| Yes, folks. The Millenium Force. We were unable to challenge its might, last year, due to high winds. This is the kind of roller coaster that they shut down in high winds. It is 310 tall. It reaches the speed of 93mph. SHOOM. This coaster is amazing. And short. But FAST. It uses an elevator-counterweight system, not a chunka-chunka-chunka-chunka winch. You go up fairly smoothly and quickly. Right away. No pussy-footing around; as soon as you leave the train house, you are going uphill at about 45 degrees. To your immediate left is the lake. A lot of lake. Very ... far ... below. |
![]() THIS IS US GOING UP THE MILLENIUM FORCE, PHOTO COURTESY MELLISSA (who didn't ride it). THE QUOTE IS STEVE SPEAKING VERY CALMLY, THROUGH THE ENTIRE ASCENT. |

![]() THIS IS ONE OF THE SIDEWAYS ARCHES THAT THE MILLENIUM FORCE RUNS YOU THROUGH. AT GREAT SPEED. THERE ALSO ARE TWO TUNNELS, AND MANY OTHER CORNERS LIKE THIS ONE. WHAT A GREAT RIDE!!! |
| Those are the pics of The Millenium Force. Last year, I bought a 30oz coffee mug with the Power Tower logo on it. This year, a 20oz Millenium Force mug. Whoo! Next, we have THE POWER TOWER!!! | |||
